Mini-Note, Classmate Notebook from Hewlett Packard

Hewlett-Packard Co., this company just announced the newest laptop series, that will enter market segment classmate notebook. Market segment from classmate notebook personally was pioneered by Asustek Computers Inc., the production company motherboard the plank on the world and Intelligence Corp., the number one semiconductor company of the world.

Intel Corp. gave ‘netbooks’ label in his classmate laptop , and immediately will bring this mass sale netbooks in the market with 50 million units laptop in 2011 next. Whereas Asustek Computers Inc. has pioneered the market with their laptop Eee PC . In fact, the laptop classmate idea emerged from a non-profit project, OLPC (One Laptop Per Child), the cheap laptop that allocated for children’s education who could not in developing countries. Intel and Asus personally indeed had been bundled into this development project , so it’s normal if both of them entering this segment.

The newest classmate laptop from Hewlett-Packard Co.is called “Mini Note“, it’s compatible with its design, mini and portable, its wheight less than 3 pounds, with 8.9 inch monitor, and 1280×768 resolution. with this mini design, the keyboard should be 8% smaller than general Qweerty notebook keyboard.

As the brain, Hewlett-Packard Co. used micro-processor from Via Technologies Inc., the third ranking processor company of the worlds, after Intele and AMD. the Processor that utilised had clock-speed up to 1.6 GHz. From many feature that was available on this ‘Mini-Note’ , according to the official of the executive Hewlett-Packard Co., the only one that not available was optical drive, whether CD-Room or DVD Room. The Optical drive it self was eliminated with consideration from various schools that proposed its, to avoid the student who installing unpermitted programmes . However, if being desired, optical drive can be added by bought separately.

According to to the plan, newest laptop from the HP-‘Mini-note’ will be sold in the market with the range of the price $499 US for the Linux version that utilised 64 GB SSD. And for the Windows Vista version definitely will be sold with the rather expensive price, around $1200 US because of utilising the higher specification processor with 160 GB harddisk capacity .
